Your account is set up to use our special WhatsApp restrictions for channels/status/AI. This requires a special setting on your device to be turned on.
For security reasons Android requires that when our app gets an update, the setting needs to be turned on again.
You might see the WhatsApp app being disabled until it's turned back on, don't worry, nothing gets lost, and it will be re-enabled once the setting is turned back on.
You will find a set of instructions on how to turn this setting back on in the second part of this email.

Step 1
You will receive a notification that "Your WhatsApp was disabled!", please tap on it.
Step 2
The Accessibility menu should open. In it, select "Installed apps" or "Installed Services".
Step 3
In the "Installed apps" section, you should find "Detect Active App Service", if yours is greyed out like in the picture below, please tap on it and continue with the next step.
If it is not greyed out, skip to Step 10.
Step 4
After tapping on "Detect Active App Service" you will be prompted with a message saying "Restricted setting", tap OK.
Step 5
In your device settings, go to "Apps" or "Applications". Here you should see a list of all the apps on your device.
Step 6
Scroll down in this list and look for the GenTech MDM app and tap on it.
Step 7
In the top right corner you should see three dots. Tap on those and tap on "Allow restricted settings".
Step 8
You should be prompted with a message saying "Restricted settings allowed for GenTech MDM".
Step 9
Navigate again in your settings to the "Accessibility" menu. And select "Installed apps" or "Installed services" like previously.
Step 10
Tap on "Detect Active App Service".
Step 11
Turn the switch to ON and allow the service access in the pop-up.
Step 12
Allow up to 1 minute for the app to work again if not please reboot your device and everything should work well.
