Mac Installation

Here are the steps for installing the filter on MAC devices using the Livigent installer. You can also find a full video following all the steps at the bottom of the page.
Please note that the installer only works on macOS version 10.13.x and up
The user must be logged in into the Admin account of the MAC in order for the installation to work.

1. Open the browser and go to mac.gthelps.com

2. Open the downloaded .dmg file. In Safari, it’s in the top right corner of the window

3. From the .dmg file open the Livigent Mac Installer. It will ask you to confirm that you want to open the file.

4. The installer will open. Click the dropdown menu and select the filtering server

5. Enter the filtering username.

6. Click “Install” and enter the MAC password.

7. A confirmation message with “Profile Installed successfully” will appear and the Gentech Webclip will be added in the Tray bar.

8. The Gentech Webclip can be found in the tray bar. Open it and make sure that the page loads and then check to see that the filter is active by trying filterstatus.com
